What your state offers at your rating

State Veteran benefits are separate from federal ones and they vary widely. Property tax exemptions, tuition waivers, vehicle registration and hunting or fishing licenses are the common categories, and most are keyed to a disability rating band. Almost none of them are automatic; nearly all have to be applied for.

Takes about ten seconds. You can change your rating or state anytime after.

The finder covers the states whose rules have been checked against that state's own government sources and dated. The rest are listed on the state benefits index with what is known about each, and states are added as their data is verified rather than all at once.

The one part you cannot do alone

Help with a VA claim is free from a VSO or an accredited representative. Your health is a separate question.

VHN Membership starts with a Clinical Baseline: every record we can find, and a full evaluation of your physical and mental health. Then a Care Advocate helps you navigate your care.

VA claims are separate from membership. Membership fees pay for healthcare coordination and advocacy, never for help with a VA claim.
